For Something exhibition

 

The third collaborative exhibition of the big two names in the Saudi art world Khalid Alowais and Mohammed Alajlan, are collaborating and painting live at Alajlan Art Gallery. The resulted 6 pieces were displayed in the special exhibition called “For Something”. Each artist comes with his unique style and his distinct sense of aesthetic understanding, background, and vision for the direction that they should take. One artist draws with big thick strokes, strong colors, and to him it is all big pictures while the other is about the details created with thin lines. This difference in style and techniques is what makes this collaboration work so well as they complement each. Watching them go back and forth from one painting to the other, taking turns and working in layers as one starts and the other comes to finish, then the first comes to add something again it is a smooth flow. Each artwork is enriched and deepened through the participation of each of the artists with their unique perspectives and famous elements that are equally important and valued.
